Cold and Warm Weather Adventures for Everyone
Plus, our ultimate hotel sleep guide
Good morning Traveler,
This past week, a cold front hit most of the U.S. with frigid temperatures. For some, the snow and cold is a welcomed change from the record-breaking heat of this past summer, but for others, we spent the blizzard days cozy inside, planning our warm-weather escapes. How did you brave the cold?
I spent most of the week with our toddler who, regardless of the weather, prefers to be outside. We bundled up, and he spent the majority of the time napping or enjoying the cold air hitting his face. It got me thinking about the types of travel our family loves; outdoor adventures. Travel Awaits writer, Joe Cuhaj, recently shared about these 4 American Wilderness Areas, and I have officially added them to our list of travel for this year (and maybe returning trips thereafter!). For families, these destinations are best visited in the Spring or Summer, giving us plenty of time to plan our travel, but if you love a snowy hike, you might just enjoy a winter excursion- pack accordingly!
If you’re looking for last-minute travel to escape the cold for a bit this winter, here are some trends to explore in the cruise industry in 2024. Know before you go! And if cruising isn’t your thing (no judgment, I prefer my feet on the ground), here are some great ideas for travel on the East Coast of Florida, where it will continue to be in the 70s to 80s throughout the winter (sign me up!). And if you’re like me, looking for more warm family-friendly destinations to visit, check out these 9 family-friendly resorts in Aruba.
Make sure to check out our travel tip of the week for our ultimate guide to sleeping in a hotel.
Wherever you’re traveling, stay warm out there!

Cruising Into 2024: Trends Shaping the Cruise Industry
Let’s start our discussion of 2024 cruise trends with the inevitable announcement of the “Biggest Cruise Ship Ever.”
This trend has been dutifully proclaimed every year since at least 1988, when Royal Caribbean debuted what then seemed to be the impossibly huge, 2,800-passenger Sovereign of the Seas.

12 Tips For Planning A Multi-Country Trip to South America
In my opinion, South America is one of the most extraordinary places on earth. One of the best parts about it is that many countries offer easy border-hopping opportunities. I grew up visiting Europe a lot and was always intrigued by how you could change countries in mere hours and within a short distance, everything from culture to money completely changed.

14 Wonderfully Warm Places to Visit in March
March is one of the best times to vacation. The March equinox, which occurs around March 20, marks the beginning of spring in the Northern Hemisphere and the beginning of fall in the Southern Hemisphere. For this reason, March tends to be a mild time of year, warmer than the winter months and cooler than the summer months.
